Newtown, Ferns, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford – Auction Report

SOLD JUNE 2022 – Well Located ‘Two Up Two Down’ Traditional Cottage In Need Of Total Refurbishment On C. 0.6 Acre Site For Sale By Online Auction on Thursday 30th June at 4pm

An attractive stone outbuilding to the rear of the residence

Today’s auction had attracted a great deal of interest since its launch. Its attractive price, country setting and close proximity to Ferns led to a busy schedule of viewings and resulted in more than ten bidders registering. The property was guided at €55,000.

On the day of the auction, Newtown received an opening bid of €40,000. With active bidding from four parties it had exceeded the guide price in less than a minute. Prompt bidding continued as far as €90,000 at which point auctioneer David Quinn took client instructions. Upon his return, the property was declared ‘on the market’ and with no further bids, the hammer fell at €90,000.

Speaking after the auction, David Quinn declared the price achieved “a great success” and wished the purchaser well with the property. David also noted a number of similar properties currently available for sale through QUINN PROPERTY such as Tomsallagh, Ferns and Limerick Road, Camolin.
