SOLD DECEMBER 2020 – Excellent C. 32 Acre Non Residential Holding For Sale By Public Auction On Wednesday 9th December At 2pm In Carnew Mart, Lower Main Street, Carnew, Co. Wicklow.
The property consists of C. 22 acres of excellent quality land in tillage with C. 10 acres of grassland in need of some improvement works. The land is suitable for most agricultural uses. There is a natural water course running along the western boundary of the holding and it has mature timber throughout. Additionally, there was a traditional stone built farmhouse on the lands which offers potential for a residential property (subject to the relevant planning permission).
Prior to the auction the property was guided in the region of €290,000 (€9,063 per acre).
On the day of the auction, bidding opened at €230,000. With the help of three bidders, a price of €290,000 was reached. With no further bids forthcoming, the auctioneer was instructed to withdraw the the holding. However, the property quickly sold after the auction for a sum well in excess of the guide price.
