Wednesday’s auction saw an excellent parcel of land come to the market. Located in Co. Wicklow with wonderful countryside setting with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, this property offers the perfect balance of rural tranquillity and everyday convenience. The land had a guide price of €100,000 and had generated good local interest in the run up to the auction date. There were 3 bidders registered to participate in the auction, all identified as local to the area.

On the day of auction, bidding for the c. 4.1 acre holding peaked at €80,000 and was withdrawn from the market as it fell short of it’s reserve. Negotiations immediately commenced with the highest bidder and the property was sold “for a figure in the region of the guide price”.

Speaking after concluding negotiations, David Quinn said that he was “very happy to have reached a conclusion on the day of the auction” and that the purchaser “was very pleased with the result.”
