‘Ballymoney holiday home on market for huge €425,000’. Gorey Guardian. 09/02/22.
A mobile home in Ballymoney’s Tara Glen Golf and Country Club has recently gone on the market with an asking price of €425,000. This figure is far in excess of the average house price in the North Wexford area. Cathy Lee of the Gorey Guardian decided to speak with local property expert David Quinn regarding current demand for holiday homes near Gorey.
David said “the holiday home market had grown significantly since the pandemic began and that although house prices had gone up between ten and 20 percent, holiday homes had gone up 20 to 30 per cent”. David added that “similar types of holiday homes in a site that may not have as many luxurious facilities would usually fetch €150,000 to €200,000 maximum and we have three bed properties on the coast on their own ground for €250,000 to €350,000”.
