A large mountain holding in east Co Wicklow goes for auction this month. The property at Aughavannagh amounts to `1,520ac including commonage and enclosed mountain land. It is for sale with QUINN PROPERTY.
The largest part of the holding is open heather commonage running from Aughavannagh towards Lugnaquilla, providing rough grazing. There are c. 1,520ac held in Fee Simple and the vendors have grazing rights on c. 538ac of this land. Further legal details are available from the vendor’s solicitor.
This allows for grazing of one sheep to the acre.
Four other landoweners graze the commonage and have rights over the 1,520ac. Part of the land has fronatge on to a public road but the majority is accessed via a right-of-way lane.
The auction will be held on Wednesday 24 May at 1pm.
