A substantial 67.5-acre agricultural holding in Kilcarney Upper and Knocknagilky Lower, near Rathdangan in west Wicklow, has sold for a whopping €630,000 at an online auction.
Guided by agents Quinn Properties at €6,000 to €7,000 per acre, the sprawling property is located in a scenic area close to the Wicklow/Carlow border, 3km from Knockananna and 5km from Hacketstown.
The lands are laid out in one block and divided into several divisions currently in permanent pasture, comprising approximately 40 acres of good-quality grassland, while the remaining land needs reclamation and would be ideally suited for forestry.
