‘Two substantial Wicklow properties up for sale by public auction’. Wicklow People. 16/11/22.

Oghil, Redcross

Quinn Property have launched a substantial property in Redcross, south Wicklow, for sale by online auction.

The second property up for public auction is a smashing 64.3-acre parcel of land in Oghil, Redcross. The property is located within 1km of Redcross Village, 2.8km from the M11, 6km from the coast and Brittas Bay and 12km of Arklow Town.

The farm is laid out in one block and has two access points. One is located close to Redcross village, and is accessed via a cul-de-sac road, while the second is closer to the M11. The lands have been well farmed and are of excellent quality. They are currently in grass and suitable for most enterprises.

The property will be offered in three Lots. Lot 1: C. 32.06 Acres (with frontage onto the public road), Lot 2: C. 21.01 Acres and Lot 3: C. 11.22 Acres (accessed over a shared laneway).

Auctioneer David Quinn

David Quinn, of Quinn Property, said: “It’s very good farm land. We’ve had a right lot of early enquiries on it already, and it’s still relatively early days. Local farmers in particular have been taking a good look at it – considering adding one, or multiple, of the Lots to their respective holdings. From the point of view of guide price: we’re thinking of guiding at around €12,000/ac.

“Particularly with non-residential properties, where there isn’t a house where people have to go and see first, a lot of people will view the property in their own time. It’s in their interest to keep their cards close to their chest, until closer to the auction date. It’s still early days, but we’d expect quite a lot of interest before the end of the month.”

The property is for sale by public auction on Wednesday, December 7 at 12 p.m. at 34 Main Street, Carnew, Co Wicklow.

Additional information concerning the property is available from Quinn Property at 053 9480000.
