SOLD MARCH 2024 – Valuable C. 3.5 Acre Field For Sale By Online Auction On Friday 22nd of March At 12 Noon
Today’s auction was widely anticipated according to auctioneer David Quinn who said he was “blown away” by the interest in this property “from when the sign went up”.
David had guided the property between €10,000 and €12,000 per acre and had nine registered bidders for the auction. He described the interest as being “predominately local”. The property itself is in one field, currently in grass and of good quality. It offers panoramic views of the rolling countryside and may offer residential planning, subject to planning permission.
The auction commenced with a bid of €35,000 and quickly reached €60,000 after early bidding. With strong competition from three bidders, the property was ‘declared on the market’ with further bids continuing to roll in.
The prompt pace of bidding continued right up until the hammer fell at a remarkable price of €100,000. Speaking directly after the auction, Mr Quinn noted that “this was an exceptional strong result with a price of almost €30,000 per acre achieved”. He added that “the vendors are thrilled with the outcome of the auction”.
