The property was offered to the market in three lots. Lot 1 comprising of the residence, yard and gate lodge on c. 4.5 acres. Lot 2 comprising of c. 23 acres. The entire was offered as Lot 3.
There were no offers for the entire, so attention quickly turned to the two separate lots.
With keen interest in Lot 1, bidding began at €300,000 and steadily rose to €420,000 with the help of two bidders. Following this, it was declared on the market. Further bidding saw he hammer fall at €455,000. This represented a good price as the lot was guided at €380,000 – €400,000.
Bidding on Lot 2 commenced at €200,000. After a slow start, the priced moved to €250,000 (€10,896/acre) with the help of two bidders. At this point the land was withdrawn from auction, and negotiations continued with the highest bidder, a local farmer. The c.23 acres sold soon afterwards for a higher figure.
