
SOLD FEBRUARY 2026 – Valuable C. 20 Acre Roadside Holding For Sale By Online Auction On Friday 27th February At 12 Noon In One Or Two Lots
Today’s auction saw a valauble roadside holding come to the market. The lands have excellent road frontage and enjoys natural water course which runs all along the northern boundary. The lands are currently all in grass and are generally of good quality. There is a small yard where there was formerly a dwelling house. The property has potential for at least one site subject to the relevant planning.
Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the lands in the region of €9,000 – €10,000 per acre and noted “strong interest across the various Lots on offer”. He added that this translated into eight registered bidders.
The lands were offered in the following lots:
Lot 1 C. 11.87 acres
Lot 2 C. 9.12 acres
Lot 3 The Entire C. 20.9 acres

On the day of the auction bidding on the individual Lots (1 & 2) surpassed the entire (Lot 3). With Lot 3 (the entire) withdrawn, attention moved exclusively to Lots 1 and 2. However, with both lots falling short of their reserve, Mr Quinn announced that this instructions were to withdraw Lots 1 and 2 and commence negotiations with the highest bidder of each Lot. Lot 1 was withdrawn at €130,000 while Lot 2 was withdrawn at €95,0000.
QUINN PROPERTY are delighted to confirm that the lands were sold following successful negotiations immediately after the auction for a higher sum. Speaking immediately after the auction, David Quinn disclosed that “two local farmers were the successful purchasers”.
