A restored four bedroom farmhouse at Tinteskin, Kilmuckridge, has sold for €350,000 at auction, €50,000 more than the initial guide price.
Auctioneers Quinn Property anticipated that there would be strong interest in Ruanmore House, describing it as “one of the most eye-catching properties currently for sale in the south east”. Comprising of an entrance hall, sitting room, living room, kitchen, dining room, four bedrooms (two en-suite) and a bathroom, the property also includes “two partially renovated outbuildings, which offer a wide range of potential uses”.
Auctioneer Jack Quinn said “There was strong interest in the property since its launch due to its charm and desirable location close to Morriscastle beach and a range of other well-known coastal attractions”.
On the day of the auction, bidding opened at €260,000 and quickly reached €300,000. With five further bids of €10,000, Ruanmore House had reached €350,000 and was declared “on the market”. The auctioneer gave plenty of warning to the room before the hammer fell at €350,000. Speaking after the auction, Jack Quinn commented that he was “very pleased with the outcome of the auction and that client expectations had been exceeded”.
