SOLD MARCH 2026 – Prime Commercial Premises (With Vacant Possession) In A Highly-Sought After Location For Sale By Online Auction On Tuesday 31st March 2026 At 12 Noon

Tuesday’s auction was eagerly anticipated since its launch as properties of this nature rarely come to the market. Property advisors Jack Quinn had guided the property in the region of €400,000 and noted “strong interest from a mix of local investors and businesspeople as well as nationwide retailors looking to establish a presence in Gorey”. Jack added that this resulted in “six registered bidders” prior to the auction.

On the day of the auction, bidding opened at €330,000 and with two active bidders promptly crossed €400,000. With the property still short of its reserve at €430,000 a new bidder joined proceedings at €440,000. With the reserve not yet met, the property was withdrawn and negotiations commenced with the highest bidder.

QUINN PROPERTY are delighted to confirm that the property was sold shortly afterwards following productive negotiations. Speaking immediately after the auction, Jack Quinn commented that it was “fantastic to get a result on the day” and wished “the new owners the very best with their acquisition”.
When asked for details of the purchaser, Jack identified the buyer as “a local businessperson”.

The auctioneer added that he has since received a number of enquiries from parties seeking to purchase similarly high-profile commercial property in Gorey.
