Wednesday June 28th was a busy day on the QUINN PROPERTY auction calendar with three properties coming to the market. The first auction was of a substantial property at 40 Esmonde Street, Gorey, a property with clear development potential given its central location.

Auctioneer David Quinn observed good interest in advance of the auction with six registered bidders.

Bidding opened at €200,000 and quickly rose as far as €260,000 with the help of two bidders. A new bidder entered the race at €270,000 and offers continued to come in as far as €300,000. After taking client instructions, Mr Quinn placed the property on the market at €300,000 and invited further offers. With no advance on €300,000 and after giving a third and final warning to the room, the hammer fell at that price. The purchaser was identified as a Wexford businessperson.
