Wednesday’s second auction saw a compact, one bedroom townhouse come to the market. Selling agent Jack Quinn described “steady interest in the property which definitely ramped up in the week prior to the auction”. Mr Quinn had guided the property in the region of €100,000 and noted that most interest had come from “local investors and businesspeople”.

Bidding opened at €70,000 and with three active bidders, swiftly reached €100,00. Upon reaching €125,000, the property was declared to be “on the market”. One additional bid of €127,000 was enough to secure the property – a strong outcome and significantly above the guide price.

Speaking after the auction, Jack stated that his client was “very pleased with the result” and described the purchaser as a “local businessperson”.
