SOLD NOVEMBER 2025 – Valuable C. 13.5 Acres Of Mature Forestry For Sale By Online Auction On Friday, 14th November 2025 At 12 Noon

Today’s auction saw a good sized forestry holding in South Co. Wexford come to the market. The lands were planted in 2007 and comprise approximately c. 4.79 hectares of Sitka Spruce and c. 0.7 hectares of Alder. The land benefits from good access over a short private driveway, situated 200 meters back from the public road.

Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the property between €5,000 and €6,000 per acre and noted “good interest from farmers and businesspeople across the County”. There was five registered bidders prior to the auction.

The auction commenced with an opening bid of €40,000 and reached €60,000 with the help of two bidders. The entry of a new bidder saw the property climb to €70,000, however with the property still short of its reserve it was withdrawn from auction. Following swift negotiations, the property was sold immediately afterwards to a local businessman.

Speaking immediately after the auction, David Quinn commented that he was “very pleased to have secured a sale for his client”. He added that “several disappointed underbidders are still in the market for similar properties”.
