SOLD MARCH 2018 – Exceptional C. 86 Acre Residential Holding For Sale By Public Auction On Wednesday 21st March 2018 at 3pm In The Kilcoran Lodge Hotel, Cahir, Co. Tipperary.

The latest QUINN PROPERTY auction of 2018 took us to the unfamiliar surroundings of county Tipperary for the sale of a substantial residential holding.

The property has been listed for three months prior to the auction and has attracted large sums of interest from far and wide due to its scale. The farm received great coverage in The Farming Independent in the form of a feature article titled ‘Galtee’s Cracker’, while drone footage of the farm was popular on our social channels.

QUINN PROPERTY have guided the property at €500,000 – €550,000. Most of the land is good quality and free-draining however, roughly 10 acres requires some drainage improvement works.

On the day of the auction there was a large turnout with thirty people in attendance.

Bidding started at €450,000 and reached  €550,000 with the help of two bidders. At this point the property was declared on market.

This prompted the entrance of a third bidder who made two bids of €555,000 and €565,000. However, the original bidder, a local farmer, secured the property for €570,000 (€6,628 per acre).

Auctioneer David Quinn expressed his delight with the result and said that most of the attendance were from the South Tipperary and North Cork areas.
