SOLD JUNE 2025 – Valuable C. 38.6 Acre Roadside Holding For Sale By Online Auction On Wednesday 11th June 2025 At 12 Noon (In One Lot)
Today’s auction saw a well-located, roadside holding near Rathdrum come to the market. The majority of the property is in grass with some in tillage. This land is generally of good quality with free draining soils, suited to most agricultural activities. The property was offered in one lot.
The property was guided at €10,000 to €12,000 per acre by the selling agent, David Quinn. Mr Quinn noted “upwards of five registered bidders” in advance of the auction.
On the day of the auction, bidding began at €380,000 and progressed briskly as far as €490,000 with activity from four bidders. Following a brief consultation with the vendor, Mr Quinn resumed the auction by informing all parties that the property was close to the reserve but further bids would be required to secure the property. This instruction was heeded, and following three additional bids, the hammer fell at €510,000 to a local farmer.
