SOLD OCTOBER 2025 – Valuable C. 67.6 Acre Roadside Holding For Sale by Online Auction On Tuesday 14th October at 12 Noon
Today’s auction saw an extensive holding come to the market along the Carlow/Wicklow border. Auctioneer David Quinn described the lands as “of good quality, recently reseeded and improved and are all presented in grass, well fenced and provide a natural water supply”.
Mr Quinn added that interest in the property was “predominantly from local landowners with some interest from further afield”. He said that this translated into “five registered bidders” for the auction. The property was guided in the region of €10,000 per acre.
The lands were offered in the following Lots:
Lot 1: C. 35.6 Acres
Lot 2: C. 32 Acres
Lot 3: The Entire C. 67.6 Acres

On the day of the auction Lots 1 and 2 were bid to a combined €600,000 (€320,000 for Lot 1 and €280,000 for Lot 2). However, with Lot 3 (The entire) at €640,000, Lots 1 and 2 were withdrawn as no further offers were forthcoming. With the property still short of its reserve, it was withdrawn from auction and negotiations commenced with the highest bidder.
QUINN PROPERTY are delighted to confirm that the property was sold shortly after the auction for an undisclosed sum in excess of the guide price. When asked for some details regarding the purchaser, Mr Quinn identified the buyer as a “local dairy farmer”.
