SOLD JULY 2025 – Charming Three Bedroom Residence With A Range of Outbuildings For Sale By Online Auction On Wednesday, 9th July At 11.00am

Today’s auction saw a charming, three bedroom cottage located just outside Bunclody come to the market. The property was guided at €150,000 by auctioneer Jack Quinn. Mr Quinn described “strong interest in advance of the auction and large volumes of viewers”. He added “the property is qualify for the ‘Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant’, making the property more attractive to discerning buyers”.

The auction commenced with an opening bid of €130,000 and quickly rose as far as €180,000 with activity from three bidders. A new bidder then entered proceedings, bring the bid to €190,000. Following a quick break to consult the vendors, the auction resumed with Mr Quinn informing all interested parties that “we are almost at the reserve”. This provided sufficient encouragement as a bid of €195,000 was promptly made and the property was declared as “on the market”.

With no further bids forthcoming, the hammer fell at €195,000, an excellent result which equates to 30% above the guide price. Speaking after the auction, Mr Quinn remarked that “his clients were pleased with the result and delighted to get a positive outcome on the day of the auction”.
