SOLD MARCH 2023– 4 Bedroom Detached Bungalow In Much Sought After Location For Sale By Online Auction Friday 10th March At 12 Noon
Friday’s auction of a well-located, four bedroom bungalow in the heart of Ferns had attracted “steady interest” since its launch according to property agent Jack Quinn. The property “presents a rare opportunity to purchase a detached residence on its own plot and at a certain price point” added Jack. There were five registered bidders in advance of the auction, most of whom were locals.
On the day of the auction, bidding started at €100,000 before further bids of €110,000, €120,000, €125,000 and €130,000 were made. With no further bids forthcoming, the property was withdrawn and negotiations were commenced with the highest bidder. A deal was promptly agreed with the highest bidder for a figure in excess of the highest bid at auction.
Speaking afterwards, Jack Quinn commented that “while it is always the goal to sell under the hammer at auction, we are nevertheless pleased to have sold this property shortly afterwards to the highest bidder”. “We wish the purchaser well with this property”.
