A 68-acre Wicklow farm guiding at €10,000 per acre will be sold by online auction on Wednesday, May 1, at 12 p.m.
Located along a local road, close to Kilpipe Church and 5km from the picturesque village of Tinahely, the expansive farm is south-facing, divided by a public road and currently in a mixture of grassland and tillage.
The property will be sold in one or more lots, with Lot 3 incorporating the entire holding. Lot 1 comprises c. 44.6 acres on the western side of the road and features a farmyard with an extensive range of sheds and outbuildings.
These include a three-span machinery shed, a three-span slatted shed with feeding passage, a four-span slatted shed with cubicles, a three-span round roof shed with a three-span and a four-span lean-to, two concrete open silage pits, yards and cattle crush.
To the rear of the farmyard, the lands are laid out in eight divisions, in a mixture of grassland and tillage and are generally of good quality with free-draining soils and no waste.
Lot 2 is located on the eastern side of the road and extends to c. 23.6 acres, with good road frontage.
In two divisions, both of which are currently in grass and have a natural water supply, the land is generally of good quality, with some heavier land towards the eastern boundary.
Speaking ahead of the auction, property agent David Quinn of QUINN PROPERTY said: “It’s a lovely farm and will be a very attractive holding to many.
“The fact that there are no houses on the property means it’s probably more likely that it will be bought as an add-on to an existing farm.
“We have a nice bit of interest in it so far, and we expect the auction to go well.”
