Derelict Cottage On C. 0.6 Acre Site For Sale By Online Auction On Monday, 16th June 2025 at 12 Noon

Today’s auction saw a charming, stone-built property in a most spectacular location come to the market. The cottage enjoys scenic views over the Avonbeg River and across the Vale of Avoca. The property was guided between €100,000 and €120,000 by David Quinn, the auctioneer handling the sale. Mr Quinn described, “encouraging levels of interest” since the property was launched with a “real mix of buyer profiles”.

On the day of the auction, bidding opened at €100,000 and rose quickly as far as €135,000 with activity from two bidders. Following a brief pause for client instructions, the auctioneer informed all that the property was still short of its reserve and further bidding would be required to secure the property. Although one more bid of €145,000 was made, the property was withdrawn at this stage and negotiations commenced with the highest bidder.
