SOLD MARCH 2026 – Valuable C 25 Acre Roadside Holding For Sale By Online Auction On Tuesday, 10th March At 11am (In One Or More Lots)
Today’s auction saw a well-located c. 25 acre holding come to the market. The lands are currently in grass and benefit from good road frontage. They have free draining soils, are suitable to most agricultural enterprises and have the benefit of a natural water supply. Given the road frontage, the lands have potential for a residential site. The lands are currently leased until end of 2027.
Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the property in the region of €15,000 per acre and noted nine registered bidders across the various Lots. According to David, the “bulk of interest came from local farmers and businesspeople”.
The lands were offered in the following Lots:
- Lot 1: C.16 Acres
- Lot 2: C. 9 Acres
- Lot 3: The Entire C. 25 Acres
On the day of the auction, Lot 1 opened at €200,000 and quickly climbed to €300,000 with five further bids. Lot 2 commenced at €120,000 and reached €180,000 after opening bidding. Lot 3 received a bid of €500,000 – enough to surpass the combined bids of Lot 1 and 2 and a break was called to take client instructions.
Upon his return to the auction room, Mr Quinn shared that he was instructed to withdraw the individual lots and focus on Lot 3 (The Entire). With bidding stuck at €500,000 (€20,000 per acre) and the property still short of its reserve, the property was withdrawn and negotiations commenced with the highest bidder.

Speaking immediately after finalising the deal, David that his client was “extremely pleased with the outcome” and added that “strong demand for agricultural land continues in North Wexford”.
