SOLD JUNE 2026 – Prime C. 3.8 Acre Holding In An Excellent Location For Sale By Online Auction On Wednesday 24th Of June At 12 Noon

Wednesday’s first auction saw an extremely well-located parcel of land come to the market. Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the holding in the region of €70,000 and noted “keen interest, particularly from a number of local businesses and investors”. This translated into eleven registered bidders going in to the auction.

The auction began with a bid of €50,000 and quickly jumped beyond €100,000 with bidding in increments of €10,000. The registered bidders needed little encouragement from the auctioneer as bidding rapidly continued past €200,000. Mr Quinn took a short break at €260,000 to take client instructions and upon his return to the room declared the property as “on the market”.

This spurred on a flurry of further bids which took the holding beyond €300,000. With only two bidders active beyond that stage, the hammer fell soon after at €315,000 an extraordinary price equating to approx. €83,000 per acre.

Speaking after the auction, Mr Quinn described the result as “far beyond all expectations” and added that it was a “clear demonstration of what’s possible with competitive bidding”. “There is clearly a large number of disappointed underbidders seeking similar holdings and this sale highlights the number of investors seeking out properties with long-term development potential”.
