Selling agent Jack Quinn had guided the property in the region of €180,000 – €200,000. Jack noted a “good amount of interest in the site” and although those interested were “mainly local businesspeople and builders there were some enquiries from further afield”.
On the day of the auction, bidding opened at €130,000 and quickly moved past €150,000. With two active bidders, things finally settled at €200,000 and a break was called to take client instructions. The auction resumed with a bid of €210,000 (€262,500 per acre) from a new bidder, however the property was still short of its reserve and withdrawn from auction.
QUINN PROPERTY are delighted to report that following swift negotiations with the highest bidder, the property was sold immediately after the auction for an offer in excess of €210,000.
