Today’s auction attracted strong interest from a range of buyer types due to the three distinct lots on offer while there was also an option on the entire. There was a total of ten registered bidders.
The property was offered in the following Lots:
Lot 1: Farmhouse & Yard On C. 1 Acre
Lot 2: C. 10.5 Acres Of Re-Seed
Lot 3: C. 13.3 Acres In Grass & Tillage
Lot 4: The Entire
On the day of the auction, the lots were offered to the market initially with a combined bid of €410,000 made. Lot 4 (the entire) then received an offer of €420,000. After another round of bidding on the individual lots, they reached a total of €470,000 and with no further interest in the entire, Lot 4 was withdrawn.
Lot 1 was placed on the market at €85,000 and sold for €92,000 to a local builder with farming interests. Lot 2 was declared on the market at €205,000 and after some strong bidding the hammer fell at €225,000 to a business person with farming interests. Lot 3 was put on the market at €180,000 and with no further bids it was sold at this price to a local farmer. The total price achieved equated to €497,000, substantially above the guide price.
