SOLD SEPTEMBER 2025 – Valuable C. 32.7 Acre Holding For Sale by Online Auction On Wednesday 17th of September at 2PM
Today’s auction saw a well-located, roadside holding come to the market. The lands are divided by the Dublin to Rosslare railway line with an underpass linking both sides. The property is laid out in six division, all of which are currently in grass and generally of good quality. Auctioneer David Quinn noted “promising early interest in the property, primarily from local farmers and businesspeople”. Mr Quinn had guided the property between €10,000 and €12,000 per acre and had “five registered bidders prior to the auction”.
The lands were offered in the following Lots:
Lot 1: C. 26.7 Acres
Lot 2: C. 6 Acres
Lot 3: The Entire C. 32.7 Acres
On the day of the auction, Lots 1 and 2 reached a combined €340,000 after early bidding. However, the bulk of interest appeared to be in Lot 3 (The Entire) which quickly surged as far as €500,000 with the help of two bidders. Lots 1 and 2 were withdrawn as per the clients instructions and attention returned to Lot 3.
Two bidders continued to battle it out as the c. 32.7 acres reached €600,000 and were declared “on the market” by the auctioneer. One further bid of €620,000 was enough to secure the property with the hammer falling at that level.
Speaking immediately after the successful auction, David Quinn congratulated the buyer who was identified as “a local farmer”. He added that his clients were “most pleased with the price achieved” which equates to almost €19,000 per acre.
