SOLD SEPTEMBER 2026 – Exceptional C. 45.5 Acre Holding For Sale By Online Auction On Tuesday 22nd September At 12 Noon

Today’s auction saw an excellent parcel of free-draining land come to the market. Accessed over a short laneway with no road frontage, auctioneer David Quinn described the lands as “suitable for any agricultural use”. Mr Quinn guided the property in the region of €15,000 per acre and noted good interest in the property from its launch. However, he noted a “flurry of late expressions of interest in the week prior to the auction” which translated to ten parties being registered to bid.

The auction opened at €600,000 and continued at a steady pace beyond €700,000, €800,000 and €900,000. A short pause was taken at €920,000 and when David Quinn resumed the auction he informed all that the property had “passed its reserve” and was “now on the market”. Bidding quickly cleared €1million and continued to €1.26million in increments of €20,000. There was five further bids from that point as the hammer fell at €1.31million (approx. €29,000 per acre) – an astounding achievement.

Speaking directly after the auction, David Quinn hailed what was “truly a remarkable result”. “I can certainly not recall any agricultural with no road frontage achieving a price comparable to this”. He added that there were “six active bidders, so there is clear evidence of further demand for similar holdings”. It was noteworthy that the property sold for €390,000 above the €920,000 point that it was put on the market.
