SOLD APRIL 2025 – Valuable C. 93 Acre Residential Holding Nestled In Unique Stunning Setting For Sale By Online & Public Auction In The Arklow Bay Hotel, On Wednesday 23rd April At 3pm (In 1 Or More Lots).

Wednesday saw one of the most locally well-anticipated auctions take place for some time. The auction was conducted in ‘hybrid’ format with over forty attendees in the auction room together with a number of online bidders.

Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the property in the region of €1.4m in advance of the auction and described “excellent interest from the day the farm was launched”. The property was offered for sale in the following lots:

Lot 1: Residence, farmyard and c. 31 acres
Lot 2: c. 50 acres
Lot 3: c. 12.5 acres
Lot 4: The Entire

The auction commenced with the individual lots which totalled €1,440,000 after the opening round of bidding. The entire holding was then bid to €1,490,000 before the combination of Lots 1-3 reached €1,545,000. At this stage, the property had passed its reserve and further offers on the entire were sought. An improved bid of €1,595,000 was then made by an online bidder and with no further offers in excess of this the hammer duly fell.

Speaking immediately after the auction, auctioneer David Quinn commented that his client was “thrilled with the price achieved” and added that “the result of the auction, clearly demonstrated the demand for similar large holdings”. Mr Quinn said that “most interest in the property was from local farmers and businesspeople”.
