SOLD MAY 2025 – Valuable C. 7 Acre Holding In A Scenic Setting At the Foot Of Annagh Hill For Sale by Online Auction On Friday 16th May at 12 Noon

Today’s auction saw a well-located, c. 7 acre roadside holding come to the market. The property is located along the main Gorey/Tinahely Road and is 11km from both towns. The lands are currently in grass with about 2 acres in need of some reclamation. The land enjoys extensive road frontage and may offer the benefit of site potential for a residence S.T.P.P.

Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the property between €85,000 and €100,000 in advance of the auction. Mr Quinn noted “a fair deal of interest from local farmers and businesspeople” which resulted in having nine bidders registered.

On the day of the auction, bidding opened at €70,000 and quickly rose as far as €100,000 with the help of three bidders. Two new bidders then entered proceedings, pushing the bid as far as €125,000. However, with the property still short of its reserve, it was withdrawn and negotiations immediately commenced with the highest bidder.
