SOLD MAY 2026 – Exceptional C. 10 Acre Roadside Holding For Sale By Online Auction On Wednesday, 20th May At 2 pm

Wednesday’s auction saw a super roadside holding with “no shortage of interest” offered for auction according to selling agent David Quinn.

The lands are of excellent quality, currently in grass and suitable for any agricultural or horticultural activity. While also enjoying good road frontage, it may have potential for a residence, subject to the relevant planning permission being obtained. Mr Quinn had guided the lands between €17,000 and €20,000 per acre and said that “seven parties had registered to bid at the auction”.

On the day of the auction, bidding opened at €140,000 and moved briskly beyond €200,000 with the help of four bidders. The property was put on the market at €230,000 which prompted further bidding and the entrance of a new bidder. The hammer ultimately fell at €264,000 (€26,400 per acre) to a local farming family.

Speaking after the auction, Mr Quinn noted “another endorsement of the strength of demand for good quality land in the region”.
