SOLD SEPTEMBER 2025 – Valuable C. 14 Acre Holding For Sale by Online Auction On Tuesday 23rd of September at 12 Noon

Today’s auction saw a fine, c. 14 acre parcel of land near the river Barrow come to the market. The lands have two access points off the public road and are laid out in four divisions, all of which are currently in grass and generally of good quality. The lands are suitable to most agricultural activities and may offer potential for a residence subject to the local planning regulations.

Auctioneer David Quinn had received “good interest” in the property since its launch, particularly from local landowners. Mr Quinn had guided the property between €10,000 and €12,000 per acre with six bidders registering prior to the auction.

On the day of the auction, bidding began at €130,000 and quickly reached €180,000 at which point it was put “on the market”. Intense bidding ensued and following a staggering fifteen further bids, the property was sold for €210,000.

Speaking immediately after the auction, Mr Quinn remarked that his client was “delighted with the price achieved which equates to €15,000 per acre”.
