Interest levels in this property have been remarkably high since it was first listed. It was no surprise then, that roughly fifty people attended its auction, our largest attendance in some time. The land itself is free-draining and is located just off the main New Ross to Wexford road.

Bidding began at €500,000 and quickly rose to €910,000 where it was declared ‘on the market’. Soon afterwards the hammer fell with a successful bid of €1,055,000 (€18,509 per acre).

There were three bidders in total, while the auction itself only lasted a matter of minutes before the land was sold.

Speaking afterwards auctioneer David Quinn had this to say “today’s auction returned what was an exceptional price, far higher than what was expected. It just goes to show the strong value of quality land in the right locations”.
