Today’s auction of a mixed-use property in the heart of Ballygarrett Village had drawn good interest according to Jack Quinn. The property is located in one of the most sought-after areas in the Southeast and “attracted the attention of locals and those from further afield”. Rather uniquely, the property also benefits from an adjoining commercial unit which “offers the new owner a wide array of potential uses”, added Jack. The premises was guided in the region of €350,000.

There was a full auction room who had a number of online bidders for company. Bidding began at €240,000 continued upwards as far as €260,000 with online bidding. A bid of €270,000 was then received from the floor of the auction room. With no further bids at auction, the property was withdrawn and negotiations commenced with the highest bidder. The premises was sold soon after for a sum far in excess of the highest bid at auction.

Following the second successful auction of the day, David Quinn expressed his delight at the result. “It is fantastic to have negotiated the sale of this well-located property”. “Although an acceptable offer was not made in the auction room, further negotiations proved fruitful.
