SOLD NOVEMBER 2025 – Valuable C. 107.4 Acre Residential Holding For Sale By Auction on Friday, 28th November At 2pm In The Ashdown Park Hotel (And Online) (In 1 Or More Lots)
Today’s auction saw one of the most highly anticipated auctions in County Wexford across 2025 take place. Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the property in the region of €1.9m and shared that there was “good interest from across the County and indeed further afield”.
The lands were offered for sale in the following Lots:
Lot 1: C. 45.5 Acres
Lot 2: C. 33.5 Acres
Lot 3: Residence, Farmyard and Outbuildings on C. 4.7 Acres
Lot 4: C. 23.7 Acres
Lot 5: The Entire Residence, Farmyard and Outbuildings on C. 107.4 Acres

On the day of the auction, the individual lots peaked at a combined bid of €1.8m with activity from six different bidders. There was a good mix of bidding from online and in the auction room. Following a bid of €2m on the entire (Lot 5) the property was declared as “on the market” and the separate lots were withdrawn.
Frenzied bidding erupted after a new bidder entered the fray and bidding continued all the way as far as €2.68m as the hammer finally fell. The price achieved equates to approx. €25,000 per acre – an extraordinary result. A spokesperson for QUINN PROPERTY identified the successful bidder as a “local farming family”.
Speaking after the auction, David Quinn commented that “selling at almost 40% above the guide, this result helps to demonstrate that the strong demand for agricultural holdings has not let up throughout the year”. He added that his clients were “over the moon with the result at auction … particularly given how far the bidding progressed after the holding went on the market”.
