SOLD APRIL 2023 – Valuable C. 10 Acre Holding For Sale By Online Auction on Friday, 21st April At 11.15 am
Today’s second auction saw a lovely parcel of land of excellent quality come to the market. The land is laid out in one division and is accessed via a short private lane off the public road. Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the property at €15,000 per acre in advance of the auction. David said that there had been “good interest in the property since its launch, mainly from local farmers”. He added that there were “between five and ten registered bidders” for the property.
On the day of the auction, bidding commenced at €100,000 and quickly moved forwards in bids of €10,000. After reaching €180,000 and with no further bids forthcoming, the property was withdrawn from auction and negotiations commenced with the highest bidder. Following prompt negotiations the property was sold for a higher figure.
Speaking after the negotiations, auctioneer David Quinn said that he was “very pleased to have secured such a strong result”. David passed on his “best wishes” to the purchasers.
