SOLD NOVEMBER 2024 – Valuable C. 6.7 Acre Roadside Holding For Sale By Online Auction On Friday, 15th November 2024 at 12 Noon

Today’s auction saw a nice parcel of land, located along the main Bunclody to Carnew road come to the market. With extensive road frontage and access to natural water, this property offers potential for a residential dwelling subject to obtaining the relevant planning permissions.

Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the property between €12,000 and €15,000 per acre and described “lots of enquiries since its launch”. Prior to the auction, there were “seven registered bidders”.

On the day of the auction, bidding began at €80,000 and quickly reached €160,000 (approx. €23,900 per acre) with activity from three bidders. With the property a little short of its reserve, the holding was withdrawn from auction and negotiations commenced with the highest bidder.

We are delighted to confirm that following fruitful negotiations with the highest bidder, the property was subsequently sold for a higher figure. Speaking after the signing of contracts, auctioneer David Quinn remarked that his client was “delighted with the price achieved which was well in excess of the guide”. David identified the purchaser as a local farmer.
