Coming up for online public auction on Friday, June 21, is a 25-acre roadside holding at Ballytunny, Brittas, County Wicklow.
According to David Quinn of selling agents QUINN PROPERTY , it’s an excellently located quality holding.“The lands are laid out in four divisions with good road frontage,” says David, “currently all in grass, with no waste.”Located on a road between the M11 and the coastline, the nearest beach is 1km away. Brittas Bay is 2kms away and Arklow 7kms in a popular part of the world.
David says that the site may also have potential for a residential property, subject to planning permission. Its guide price of €12,000/acre, therefore, seems very much achievable.
This will be the latest online auction in a continuing series of such sales, the latest of which took place on Friday, May 24.
St Austin’s at Coolgreany, Gorey, County Wexford, was a headline package containing “some of the finest quality lands in Ireland,” according to the selling agent. The Georgian property on 65 acres had a pre-auction guide price of between €1,800,000 and €2,000,000.
The bidding opened at €1,400,000 before moving to €1,660,000 on the floor. With no further bids coming, it was withdrawn from auction. Negotiations with the highest bidder ensued immediately and it was sold for a higher sum.
