There was a good turnout of 20 people on the day of the auction. The property was offered in two lots, described as follows:
Lot 1: Comprises of derelict farmhouse and buildings on c. 10 acres. Bidding opened on this lot at €100,000. With the help of 2 bidders it moved to €115,000 at which point it was declared on the market. A new bidder entered the fray at this stage and the property was sold at €142,000 to an auctioneer acting in trust.
Lot 2: c. 9 acres. Bidding commenced at €40,000 and with the help of two bidders it moved onto €65,000 at which point it was declared on the market and sold to a local farmer.
